The full name of 3C certification is "China Compulsory Certification", the English name is China Compulsory Certification, and the English abbreviation is CCC. It is a product conformity assessment system implemented by the Chinese government in accordance with laws and regulations to protect consumers' personal safety and national security, strengthen product quality management. It should be noted that the 3C mark is not a quality mark, it is a basic safety certification.

The 3C mark is generally affixed to the surface of the product, or pressed on the product by moulding, a closer look will reveal a number of oval "CCC" secret marks. There is a random code behind each 3C logo, and each random code has a corresponding manufacturer and product. When the certification mark issuance management center issued the compulsory product certification mark, the product corresponding to the code has been entered into the computer database, and consumers can query the code through the National Quality Certification Center.

What products are exempt from CCC certification?

1. Compulsory product certification is not required if the following conditions are met.

1. Articles for personal use by foreign embassies, consulates and international organizations in China and their diplomats;

2. Articles for personal use by official agencies of the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Region Governments in the Mainland and their staff;

3. Articles for personal use brought by the entry personnel from abroad;

4. Intergovernmental assistance and gifts.

Products in the Catalogue that meet the above conditions do not need to apply for a compulsory product certification certificate, nor do they need to apply the Chinese compulsory product certification mark.

2. Those who meet the following conditions can be exempted from applying for compulsory product certification.

1. Products needed for scientific research and testing;

2. Introduce parts and components required by the production line for the assessment technology;

3. Products directly needed for user maintenance purposes;

4. Equipment/components required for the factory production line/complete production line (excluding office supplies);

5. Products that are only used for commercial display but not for sale;

6. Products (including exhibits) that need to be returned and shipped out of customs after being temporarily imported;

7. Parts imported by general trade for the purpose of exporting the entire machine;

8. Imported parts or parts processed by imported materials for the purpose of exporting the entire machine.

For products in the Catalog that meet the above conditions, manufacturers, importers, sellers or their agents can apply to the relevant quality inspection agency, and submit relevant application forms, certification materials certifying that they meet the exemption conditions, and liability guarantees Certificates, product conformity declarations (including type test reports) and other materials can only be sold, imported and used in business activities after being approved to obtain the "Certificate of Exemption from Compulsory Product Certification". 3. Products in the "Catalog" that have one of the following conditions shall be punished in accordance with the "Regulations on Certification and Accreditation of the People's Republic of China" and supporting regulations.

1. Those who do not meet the requirements of this announcement but do not need to apply for compulsory product certification without authorization for ex-factory sales, import and use in business activities;

2. Meet the requirements of this announcement but have not obtained the "Certificate of Exemption from Compulsory Product Certification" without authorization for factory sales, import and use in business activities;

3. Fabricating false materials to defraud the "Certificate of Exemption from Compulsory Product Certification";

4. It is not used according to the original application purpose after obtaining the "Certificate of Exemption from Compulsory Product Certification".
